Nanda Costa, the 26-year-old Brazilian actress from Rio de Janeiro, appeared on the cover of the August 2013 Playboy Brazil magazine, causing quite a stir.
The star of the telenovela Salve Jorge, based on the true story of a Brazilian girl forced into sexual bondage in Israel, posed for the sensual photos in Havana, Cuba in April.
“I was anxious and could barely sleep the night before,” Nanda told reporters.
“It was a dry shoot. I had no moral hangover,” the actress joked, referring to the fact that she did not need any alcohol to get her in the mood.
Alluding to her, um, old-fashioned appearance down below, the star said “I did not shave by choice. I did part of the shoot in a barbershop and still did not change my mind. I would have been a bit unseemly to have posed with a ‘Hitler mustache’ while in the land of Fidel, no?”
“I reviewed and approved each photo. I imagine that the most authentic part of this photo essay were the [pubic] hairs. From what I see, the art is in the details,” said Costa.
